Tata Chemicals receives ISO-9001
registration from KPMG quality registrar

Tata Chemicals Limited announced today that it has received
ISO-9001 registration from the KPMG quality registrar. Tata
Chemicals' quality system was assessed under ISO-9000 standards,
a globally recognised quality standard established by the
International Organization for Standardisation in Geneva,
Switzerland and adopted by over 90 countries worldwide. This
re-certification was made in accordance with the revised ISO
9001:2000 standards.
The scope of the certification includes manufacture of soda
ash, sodium bicarbonate, salt, chloro-caustic, marine chemicals,
ordinary Portland cement, Portland pozzolana cement and masonary
cement. Project engineering activities including design, manufacture
and erection of chemical plant and machinery (from the Mithapur
chemicals division) including all support functions and services
for the plant and township.
