Magadi Soda is Africa's largest soda ash producer, employing 450 people and extracting 300,000 tonnes of naturally occurring soda ash each year from Lake Magadi. The company has export markets in South East Asia and South Africa with key customers including Thai Glass Industry, San Miguel and Consol. Magadi Soda also dredges salt from Lake Magadi for use in Kenya.
